Leadership Initiative Guinea (LIG) is a non-partisan, nonprofit organization advocating private sector innovation, economic reform, leadership development, and education modernization. 
Founded to meet the aspirations of its founding members, Leadership Initiative Guinea (LIG) intends to set a new path.  A path that will inspire others, provide them with the necessary tools to achieve their defined goals, and set a clear direction for the accomplishment of a common goal: building the foundation for a new Guinea.  LIG intends to transcend the traditional discussion lines through knowledge, skills, and positive attitude.  LIG aspires through clearly defined initiatives to exhibit leadership and set a clear vision, an ambitious vision for Guinea and Africa.

   Our Mission

Our mission is to advance, stimulate, develop, evaluate, promote and provide a platform for highly accomplished, uniquely qualified Guinean leaders to enhance and develop their value-based leadership skills and to assume a transformative role in the future development of Guinea.

 LIG achieves its mission by promoting:

Organizational Management

LIG strives to live to its full potential by continuously strengthening its internal organization, establishing due process, and equipping the Organization with modern and effective communication tools to achieve goals.

Leadership Empowerment

LIG’s main focus is the promotion of leadership initiatives. LIG establishes programs to foster leadership skills, and encourages mentoring and coaching throughout the community.

Brain Power Build-up

LIG views building a brain trust as a cornerstone of its mission. LIG has created the Directory of Guinean Professional to track current professionals, university students and entrepreneurs of Guinean ancestry. LIG is also working on a wide-ranging education reform agenda to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
